Sclerotherapy is used to treat varicose veins and some other blood vessel problems. It is a minimally invasive technique where a substance is injected directly into the affected blood vessels. The aim of sclerosing is to cause a local reaction in the vessels that results in their collapse and ultimately their sealing.
