During the consultation, your surgeon will measure and assess what needs to be done during the procedure, and how much is fat cells and how much is breast tissue. You will also have a chance to ask all your questions, and you will be given information to take home and read at your leisure.
Gynecomastia at Estetikcentrum is performed under light sedation or local anesthesia. The operation is gentle and quick. The position of the incision can vary depending on how much breast tissue or fat needs to be removed, but is usually placed under the breasts or just below the perineum.
After the surgery, you will wake up in a comfortable bed in our pleasant recovery room, and can usually go home the same day. The pain is mild, but you will go home with a pressure bandage and the recommendation to rest for a week off work.

Weight loss, anabolic steroids or a large amount of body fat are other reasons that can lead to enlarged breasts.

Gynecomastia surgery is usually performed under light sedation or local anesthesia.
If the gynecomastia is due to growth of mammary gland tissue, an incision is made and tissue is cut away from the underside of the perineum.
If it is pseudogynecomastia, i.e. gynecomastia due to fat accumulation, liposuction around the chest can be performed.
The operation is relatively simple and can therefore be performed under local or light anesthesia.
Once the surgery is complete, invisible stitches to prevent scarring and a dressing are applied and you are discharged the same day.
Every body heals differently, but in most cases the results of the procedure can be seen after one to two weeks. However, it can take up to several months for the skin around the breasts to adapt and contract. Therefore, we recommend our patients to avoid heavy and strenuous physical activity during the first few months.
